"A picture is worth a thousand words...". As a "North-ponder" armed with a camera, I think I am among the people who have photographed the North Pond the most. I have been living in the Lincoln Park, Lakeview and North Pond area for the past twenty years. And every week or so I take a stride around the Pond and photograph anything that I find interesting: the views of the pond, the geese, the turtles, the squirrels... the people, all year round. North Pond is all about nature. Therefore, most of the flowers it offers grow from its natural environment...

North Pond Flowers

North Pond is all about nature. Therefore, it offers flowers that grow from its natural environment. There are two spots where you can find flowers cultivated by human. These two areas are on "rive gauche". The first is a tulip spot on the east side of the restaurant, and the second spot is against the west wall of the Nature Museun and before the bridge. The whole "rive droite" is covered with natural grass and other plants that offer flowers mostly during summer.
