"A picture is worth a thousand words...". As a "North-ponder" armed with a camera, I think I am among the people who have photographed the North Pond the most. I have been living in the Lincoln Park, Lakeview and North Pond area for the past twenty years. And every week or so I take a stride around the Pond and photograph anything that I find interesting: the views of the pond, the geese, the turtles, the squirrels... the people, all year round. This website is some of my stories in pictures.

Those familiar with the North Pond will recognize each image at first glance...

North Pond Landmarks

Those familiar with the North Pond will recongnize each image at firt glance. Some images like the North Pond Arch, the Sunrise Steps, the Tanning Hill or the North Pond Valley... will be easily recongnized. These are all on "Rive Gauche". However, there are two interesting sites on "Rive Droite" that only true "North-ponders" will recognize. They are trees that are almost horizontal over the water plane. In the Summer they are a great hiding place inside the tree leaves.
