North Pond 365/360

"A picture is worth a thousand words...". As a "North-ponder" armed with a camera, I think I am among the people who have photographed the North Pond the most. I have been living in the Lincoln Park, Lakeview and North Pond area for the past twenty years. And every week or so I take a stride around the Pond and photograph anything that I find interesting: the views of the pond, the geese, the turtles, the squirrels... the people, all year round. This website is some of my stories in pictures.

Seating on "Tanning Hill" side and watching all the people passing by. Oh how sweet the afternoon sun felt on the skin...

If you listen to reaggae music you might know that I got this wording from Peter Tosh's "Pick Myself Up". Yes indeed, it was a sweet spring afternoon. And when I saw this fine lady passing by for the second time I focussed my camera on the foot steps to capture the beatiful effect of the colorful sneakers and the graceful movement of the striped pants. I am interested in 2D animation and here is a perfect demontration for a walk cycle, and most importantly the secondary and tertiary movements of the flared pants. It's a relaxed, joyful and peaceful walk as you can see from the movement of the hands combined with the styles of the shoes and pants.
