North Pond 365/360

"A picture is worth a thousand words...". As a "North-ponder" armed with a camera, I think I am among the people who have photographed the North Pond the most. I have been living in the Lincoln Park, Lakeview and North Pond area for the past twenty years. And every week or so I take a stride around the Pond and photograph anything that I find interesting: the views of the pond, the geese, the turtles, the squirrels... the people, all year round. Crane Up

This young man and his mother right away reminded me of J. J. Rousseau's "Emile, or On Education". He is fortunate that his mom took him to the street side to see the crane rise. Chapeau! Merci maman.

I don't know about you but every time I saw a crane it is busy working. Then one day I notice it's gone... Until building 458 West Diversey. I finally got a chance to see the labor required to get a crane scafolded.
